In this study, this researcher defined the concept and type of mixed use dwelling and examined the generation background from the view point of urban phenomenon, urban space structure and housing market formation. And, through the case study, this researcher tried to grasp the distribution of mixed use dwelling in Seoul and the distribution future attendant upon it.
In synthesizing the study contents, as for the mixed use dwelling, it is judged that there is the tendency that it is constructed in the area where the business activity is centralized and the land price is expensive and the convenience facilities for life are being equipped completely. as the given condition of city formation is in the mature states in accordance with period.
Thus, to construct the mixed use dwelling to unite even the industrial function by expanding from the form of mixed use dwelling centering around the functions of dewlling and commerce at the time of redeveloping the bad area or developing the superannuated area after recognizing the mixed use dwelling as new dwelling type will be able to offer the job-housing and use the efficient land. And, at the time of constructing the mixed use dwelling, the relevant law system must be prepared, so that the restriction or relaxation through the systematization of relevant law may be possible.
