The purpose of the church is to establish the kingdom of God and the purpose of the christian education is also to educate the christians to establish the kingdom of God. To establish the kingdom of God means not only to save the souls of people, but also to save the world. The concept of kingdom of God involves not only the salvation of souls, but also justice, peace, culture, life and integrity of creation. If the christian education concentrates all its efforts only on the salvation of souls, it is not the education to establish the kingdom of God.
This research discusses 4 important christian educational streams such as conservative fundamentalism, revivalism and pentecostalism, liberalism, and neoorthodoxy in the theological view of kingdom of God. These 4 important christian education streams have many theological and educational errors, if they are evaluated in the view of kingdom of God. It is important to see that the liberalism doesn't know the depth of human sins and the destructive roles of Satan, although it has the concept of kingdom of God. It is too optimistic and doesn't know the transcendental aspect of kingdom of God.
The first task of christian education in the view of kingdom of God is to overcome the gap between faith and life. It's second task is to educate in the holistic view of human being, society and cosmos. It's third task is to stress communal characters in the society which reflects the triune God. It's forth task is to establish the culture of kingdom of God. It's fifth task is to stress the responsibility toward kingdom of God which is connected with the world change.
