In this research, we have basically analyzed the nature of Korea, China and Japan's FT A strategies. Especially, we tried to empirically testify our main hypothesis: -the FT A strategy of three Northeast Asian Countries including Korea, China and Japan is notably converging as a result of FTA completion (or negotiation) with offshore developed countries and huge blocs(e.g., Korea-U.S., Korea-EU, China-Australia and China-Newzealand FTA).
The increase of concluding FTAs with offshore states, especially developed countries and huge blocs, naturally changes the Korea and China's FT A strategies to convergence into a more extensive agreement which Japan basically aims at. We believe that the convergence of Korea, China, Japan's FTA strategies eventually can increase the possibility of the regional cooperation in Northeast Asia.
