The present day is the knowledge-based society. For this reason, the collection, accumulation, reference and utilization of information that based on high-technology in intellectual activity of human is necessary. Under these circumstances, The National institute of The Korean Language is working on ‘the Gaebanghyeong-Hangugeo-Jisik-Daesajeon(The Open Korean Knowledge Dictionary)’ to search the vast korean informations.
Our research team takes part in the project to choose the lemma of historical terminology and describe and register according to writing guidelines of the historical terminology for ‘Gaebanghyeong’. First, this article introduces the problems that may arise during the process of this project. Next, it is studying the historical terminology as terminology and problems to notion, limit, meaning and user as historical terminology for ‘Gaebanghyeong’.
