The demand for customized medical service has been on the rise due to increase in quality of life and average life expectancy and medical service market-opening pressure. In accordance with the trend, economic effect has been increasing in proportion to the number of medical service tourists and medical tourism as a strategic industry has attracted attention from all countries of the world. According to the Deloitte report, global medical tourism market is expected to increase up to 79.5 billion dollars in 2017. Korean government considers medical tourism as a high value-added industry and a business sector with high potential. Ministry of health and welfare expects 1.42 million medical tourist and five trillion won income from the medical tourism in 2020. Korean tourism organization expects 2.6 million tourists and nine trillion won income in 2020.Medical facilities and accommodation have becoming a major issue in order to secure the dominant competitiveness as a result of research in cases in Korea and other countries. Existing studies are focused on verification of limitation and necessities of Meditel. This study is expected to be used as baseline data for the medial industry in the future.
