This paper aims to research into the verb and aspect in linguistic typology. The aspect consists of perfective and imperfective linguistically. The perfective looks at the situation from the outside and all parts of the situation are presented as a single whole. The simple past tense can have the sense of perfective in Korean and English. ``E iss`` cannot express the perfective meaning and the opposition between ``e iss`` and ``ko iss`` cannot be the difference between perfective and imperfective. The imperfective looks at the situation from the inside and ``ko iss`` can express the progressive meaning in Korean ``Ko iss`` cannot be divided into ``kol iss`` and ``ko2 iss`` and it can have diverse meaning from the inference in context.
