The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of weight training(WT) and circuit weight training(CWT) on isokinetic muscle strength in collegiate baseball players(fielders and pitchers) focused on power-zone. Fielders and pitchers were divided WT and CWT randomly and performed training for 8 weeks. Pre and post the training, extension/flexion strength of knee joint(60°/sec) and trunk(30°/sec) were measured by isokinetic machine(System 3 Pro, Biodex, NewYork, USA.) The results were as follows. First, there was no interaction effects among time, position and training on the extension/flexion strength of left and right knee joint but there was significant main effects of time. Second, there was no interaction effects among time, position and training on the extension/flexion strength of trunk but there was significant main effects of time. Consequently, although there were no significant difference in interaction effects, it is interpreted that WT was effected fielder’s isokinetic muscle strength of knee joint and CWT was effected trunk without distinguishing between two positions. The difference between the strength of the expression of these two training and positions are baseball players’ off-season training program is expected to help in the configuration.
