Recently, due to the development of information communication technology, the medium to large medical institutions have been interested in the use of IT technology which can provide various services to external clients. Especially the cloud computing technology made it possible to provide not only the patient’s medical information, but the services such as appointment, schedule management, and health information in hospitals.
In this paper, we present the effective network construction methods for a hospital information system based on the cloud computing. Particularly with considering the factors affecting the traffic in the SaaS (Soft as a Service) type hospital information system, we present an efficient design scheme of SaaS-type doctor’s appointment management system.
