This study is aimed for organizing and analyzing current status of studies on Korean costumes published from 2005 to 2015 focused on the Journals in the field of clothing; The Korean Society of Costume, The Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, The Costume Culture Association, Korea Fashion and Costume Design Association and Journal of Korean Traditional Costume and for grasping the unsatisfied field of studies. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, the total number of papers published 5 different journals in the field of clothing from 2005 to 2015 are 4590. Second, the results of research trends in annual Korean costume’s theses between 2005 and 2015, there are 905 papers on Korean costumes totally. Thirds, the most field of design and aesthetics is about design development and aesthetics study. In the field of history, the largest share of studies are excavated costume, historical investigation and periodical consideration and of fabrics and dyeing, the largest share of study subjects are natural dyeing, fabrics excavated, textile design. This shows survey about traditional products and industries, consumer behavior and apparel industries in marketing and bodice making, sewing and pattern in construction. And so forth, shows teaching material developments and educational program development.
