The purpose of this thesis is to study on Roy Bhaskar’s transformation of Hegel·Marx’s dialectics and its application. Fist of all, I examine Bhaskar’s critique of Hegel·Marx’s dialectics. Hegel and Marx could not sustain the concept of ‘absence’ and in a metaphysical closure Bhaskar calls ‘ontological monovalence’. Bhaskar’s dialectic was critical realistic dialectic. It essayed a real definition of dialectic as ‘the absenting of constraints on absenting absences or ills’. It’s system was composed of a first Moment(1M): of non-identity corresponding to transcendental realism - a second Edge(2E): pivoting on the notion of absence and other concepts of negativity - a third Level(3L): revolving around notions of totality - a fourth Dimension(4D): turning on transformative praxis, the unity of theory and practice. Four moments are a dialectical process that is the pulse of freedom. The dialectic of freedom involves both moral realism and ethical naturalism. It leads immediately to practice, but also to a conception of emancipatory axiology. I also examine the dialectical enrichment of critical realism and critical realistic clarification of dialectic. The dialectical enrichment of critical realism has a chance of success but the critical realistic clarification of dialectic did not come off. I analyze critical realistic dialectic’s application to the law praxiology, the present trend of geo-historicity, emancipation in the current global condition. In conclusion, I think that there are not a little doubts about theoretical accomplishment and practical meaning of Bhaskar’s critical realistic dialectic. Nevertheless, important problems are left not resolved.
