Fluorescence generally gives us a more clear and brighter feeling in the visual environment we experience. Given the increasing use of fluorescent colors in various digital environments, it is necessary to look at whether the fluorescent color on the display is similar to the color feature seen on the paper. The fluorescent color on the display appears as if it would be visually perceived brighter or darker than paper. The first survey was conducted with 20 female subjects using five questions about the concept of fluorescent The second survey was about the visual characteristics of fluorescent color. Five subjects from the first survey participated, as they correctly answered in the first survey. Then the concept and visual characteristics of fluorescent color were analyzed through frequency analysis, and the characteristics of color intensity and saturation were analyzed. The results of visual perception of fluorescent color indicated that the distribution of brightness and saturation by color of paper and display is different. The paper"s yellow color showed that its brightness and saturation were perceived to be higher than the display yellow color. The paper"s green color showed that it was perceived to have a somewhat lower brightness and saturation than the display green color. The red color of paper tended to be higher in brightness and lower in saturation than the red color of the display. The visual features of fluorescent colors on paper and display colors showed that the color stimulus of the highest saturation by color is perceived as fluorescent. The high intensity and high saturation of fluorescent colors are well represented in the yellow color on paper and in the green color on the display. For the blue of paper, fluorescent was received in the largest region compared to other hues. However, display could not show fluorescent blue visually which indicates the need improvement for higher saturation.
