Due to climate change, damage to property and people is increasing worldwide. In Korea, various social and natural disasters such as earthquakes, heavy rains, forest fires, and typhoons have caused damage. When extensive disasters occur for a long period of time, facilities with higher performance and various functions than those that have been used until now will be required. Therefore, this study aimed to improve disaster prevention by commanding and controlling the disaster situation in a wide area and proposing the concept and planning method of the disaster prevention base facility, which is a base for relief and recovery activities. Accordingly, the role and concept of the disaster prevention base facilities were analyzed by analyzing the domestic and foreign conditions related to the disaster prevention base facilities, and related prior studies were analyzed. A plan direction was derived by analyzing cases of related facilities at home and abroad. Through this, the planning elements and considerations of the disaster prevention base facilities, and the planning plan such as space composition plan were presented. As a result of the study, a location selection plan and required space and function were derived, and a suitable space composition plan for each disaster situation was proposed, and basic matters for planning were presented. Through this, basic matters for securing disaster prevention base facilities were suggested, but more diverse studies should be conducted for practical application of disaster prevention base facilities.
