In hybrid nanotube composite systems, the incorporation of secondary fillers exhibits conflicting behaviors of electrical conductivity which either increase or decrease according to the dimension of the secondary fillers. This paper develops a quantitative computational model that predicts the electrical conductance of percolating carbon nanotube (CNT) networks with differing configurations of CNTs and secondary silica fillers. To this end, Monte Carlo simulation has been conducted extensively to characterize the electrical performance of two-dimensional systems with one-dimensional secondary fillers with consideration of the electrical conductance of CNTs.
