This study looks into the effects that the shared leadership of hotel culinary staff members has on their organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior to present practical implications related to the proper leadership cultivation of culinary staff members in the hotel industry.
In this study, a questionnaire was conducted on employees working in hotel companies. As an analysis method, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed using SPSS 20.0 statistical program.
The main results of the study are as follows. First, the shared leadership of hotel culinary staff members had positive effects on their organizational commitment and positive effects on their organizational citizenship behavior as well. Second, among the sub-dimensions of organizational commitment, affective commitment and normative commitment had significant effects on their organizational citizenship behavior and continuous commitment did not have any significant effects. Third, in the effects of shared leadership on organizational citizenship behavior, results showed that negative effects were greater on culinary staff members with longer periods of experience, decreasing their organizational citizenship behavior.
