Recently, AI(Artificial Intelligence) technology comes into the spotlight as a key growth engine of the 4th industrial revolution. AI can be applied to all industries, and the industrial structure is expected to change. AI technology can create a variety of business models. Because of this, the development and investment of AI is active all over the world. By monitoring the AI technology, it helps to acquire core technology and establish strategy. Therefore, this study aims to study AI technology through patent analysis. We collect patents that US Class 706(AI field) in USPTO. And, we analyze the abstract of the patent through Topic Modeling. This study investigates and defines 15 technologies representing artificial intelligence technology. And, we analyzed the promising technologies through regression analysis on the topics. The results show six promising technologies and five mature technologies. Promising technologies include natural language processing, knowledge representation, predictive modeling, diagnostic system, monitoring system, and medical in AI. Mature technologies include pattern recognition, expert system, controlled system, optimization and solving and VLSI. This paper study quantitative analysis in studying promising technology and get the objective results.
