While the imagery was recognized as the copy of original and isolated as the error in the past, it is affecting the reality more strongly than the original as a presence defining the reality in modern times. This phenomenon is by the modern diversified media, the media is deeply related to the imagery. From this point of view, the purpose of this paper is to understand the structure and meaning through the theoretical consideration of the imagery and expand the meaning of imagery to research and analyze the existing media. For this, the most fundamental media of the existing imagery will be recognized by body, the media that the body was expanded will be understood as the space, and the architectural expressive form of the space will be interpreted by that time's body focusing on the body theory by Merleau Ponty. The conclusion through the study on the theory of this imagery and the presence is that the space relevant with the body is the environment forming the imagery and the general media containing the life flow by revealing the thought making the architecture, and this is the physical directivity Merleau Ponty says through the body theory.
