The creation of a residential environment for children is a very important issue that needs to be constantly researched and studied. The purpose of this study is to propose a direction for universal design application of community space that supports each area of 'child development'. The research methods of this study are literature review and questionnaires, and the questionnaires were conducted for child care specialists and child caregivers. The conclusions of this study are as follows; First, establishment of a safe environment is the most important for 'child development' is the most important for the establishment of a safe environment. Second, the community space of the residential complex for 'child development' requires various lighting plans for a safe environment. Third, community space in the residential complex needs an environment that can experience the natural elements for 'expression of multiple ability' and 'division of self - centered area' of 'child development'. Fourth, community space of the residential complex should be able to support various communication and activities for 'social contact' in 'child development'. Fifth, the environment for the caregiver is needed for the community environment of the residential complex supporting 'child development'.
