Yang Zhen’s Appeal essays are the first-hand documents for the study of Yang Zhen’s political thoughts. The research on allusions in Yang Zhen’s Appeal essays is not only the basis for the study of Yang Zhen’s thought on clean government, but also the key to the study of Yang Zhen’s thought on clean government. The sources of Yang Zhen’s Appeal essays are mainly concentrated in the 《诗经》⋅《尚书》⋅《礼记》⋅《周易》⋅《春秋》⋅《论语》 and other Confucian classics. Pay attention to clear rewards and punishments, a strong sense of urgency, advocacy of common morality, and a firm belief in the prosperity of the people and the country. Yang Zhen’s clean government thought has certain reference significance for the current clean government thought education. Starting from the allusions in Yang Zhen’s scribbled writings to study his ideological concept of clean government is conducive to the dredging of Yang Zhen’s handed down literature, the exploration of the value of Yang Zhen’s Appeal literature, and the multi-dimensional exploration of Yang Zhen’s political thought.
