As the population increased, the number of megacities gradually increased, and the concept of smart cities was proposed based on the overload of traffic in the city center and saturation of the ground and underground. Purpose Built Mobility is a new urban transportation vehicle that can provide customized services tailored to the broader lifestyle of the future. The purpose of this study is to select and analyze related rhetoric according to the technical feature of Purpose Built Mobility and to present the design feature of different rhetoric in the form and use of Purpose Built Mobility. The rhetoric of omission can reduce costs by providing a dedicated platform. The rhetoric of synesthesia can enrich the form of expression beyond the limits of language. The rhetoric of quotation can add sentimental value and establish identity through the citation of classical elements. Personification can increase intimacy and vitality. The research method examines the feature of Purpose Built Mobility based on literature research and data. This study first investigates the concept and characteristics of Purpose Built Mobility. Through the analysis and synthesis of cases on narrative design rhetoric and Purpose Built Mobility derive the feature of Purpose Built Mobility design. Then, the feature of forms and uses of Purpose Built Mobility. As a result of the study, it was concluded that narrative design can satisfy individual needs such as emotions, entertainment, and culture of passengers through the analysis of the shape and purpose of purpose-based mobility. Due to its wide range of uses Purpose Built Mobility is expected to become a new type of ‘living space’ in smart cities. These rhetoric has a positive effect on the form and use of mobility. We predict that the rhetoric of narrative design will be increasingly used in the future design of Purpose Built Mobility. Because it can satisfy people’s physiological and psychological dual perception experience.
