The application of various renewable energy products is essential to reduce carbon emissions from buildings. Daylight-concentrating indoor louvers are expected to play a significant role in achieving zero-energy buildings in the future, as they have been included in the list of renewable energy facilities in South Korea since 2018. This study analyzes the effect of controlling the angle of the light-collecting part of the Daylight-concentrating indoor louver on indoor illuminance. In a experimental chamber, three types of angle control were compared under the same external illuminance conditions during the intermediate and winter seasons. The experimental results showed that during the intermediate season, tilting the louver angle to the outside (+15 degrees) was advantageous, while during the winter season, tilting it to the inside (-15 degrees) was more beneficial. Analysis of indoor illuminance values at different positions showed that during the intermediate season, the indoor illuminance at 5 m depths was higher when the louver was in the horizontal position compared to when tilted to the outside (+15 degrees). Through this study, the beneficial effects of controlling the angle of the lightcollecting part of Daylight-concentrating indoor louvers on indoor lighting were confirmed.
