This paper discusses about the Guizhou Miao music modern variation in the context of globalization and its social significance. Specifically, it focuses on the innovative characteristic of the music along with its cultural adaptability during the modern process. Moreover, through an exploration of the modern variation of Miao music, the integration of both traditional and modern elements, cross-border collaboration as well as innovative performance method are also investigated. On the social level the modern variations of Miao music play important parts, which include maintaining communication between generations, cultural heritage as well as strengthening cultural identity and enhancing social unity. The article further elaborates on the opportunities and challenges faced by Miao music in the era of globalization through specific case studies, providing theoretical support for the protection and development of minority cultures.
