Based on post-structuralist thinking, this study analyzes the existing binary confrontational relationship of boundaries and ambiguous boundaries as a generative process. Post-structuralism, which emphasized diversity and volatility by paying attention to the limitations and instabilities of the structure, has a lot of influence on modern architecture and organizes the characteristics of the spatial expression of ambiguous boundaries. Subsequently, a case analysis will be conducted on four works by Sow Fujimoto with architectural methodologies related to post-structuralist thinking. Through the above studies, first, ambiguous boundaries can be seen as helping in the creation of space, not a concept opposed to boundaries. Second, as a result of case analysis, it can be seen that Sou Fujimoto uses boxes and windows of different scales to form ambiguous boundaries, and there are many uses of overlapping planes. The use of these ambiguous boundaries not only induces communication between users, but also provides a richer spatial experience through external and internal interventions. Finally, it was confirmed that the post-structuralist thinking had a lot of influence on modern architecture. Like post-structuralists, modern architecture used ambiguous boundary expressions to change the way it was expressed while maintaining the existing original structure to escape the existing internal and external concepts. Through this study, ambiguous boundaries can be thought of as a series of processes that create more distinct spaces, and through the use of uncertain and flexible spaces, various experiences and communication between users can be induced.
