The interaction patterns among social stratification, gender, generation, and local group in the elementary social studies textbook content have been studied in this report. The main goal of this report is to make contributions to building-up the foundation for the construction of the social studies content.
Findings from this study can be summarized as follows.
It is necessary to select and organize the social studies contents by taking into
consideration variety of point of view over social group interaction. That is, in order to maintain social stability and integration and to expedite the social development by releasing conflicts among social components and disfunctional elements, various approach methods including functionalism, conflict theory, and interpretative theory, have to be employed to compose the social studies contents.
