There is the serious trouble about the modern time consciousness in Sim-Mun, and the various ‘standstill techniques’ such as the montage technique and Brecht’s epic drama principle are used in the technique aspects. Through this, the dialectical standstill world can be shown at the ending part of novel. This study was based on the fact that the point which Choi, Myung-Ik hope to reach through the novel world is similar with the Benjamin’s dialectical standstill moment. Referring to the formation and capture process of Benjamin’s dialectical standstill moment, the dialectical view of the world and ending processing implications of Sim-Mun was clarified newly. Through this, it aimed to examine the writer’s intention to select the Yeo Ok’s death as sudden ending, and to examine the reason that the main character, Myoung-Il found the Sim-Mun which is reflected in dead Yeo Ok’s appearance.
