The purpose of this study was to investigate the Sport Management Curriculum and current research trend of Sport Management in order to suggest the future research direction. In order to meet this purpose, the following two subsequent research questions were proved and these were: 1) What are the general trends of Sport Management Curriculum in the American and other countries? 2) What are the general research trends of Sport Management and frequent research themes in American? The researcher reviewed the literature(Master & Doctoral dessertation, JSM etc.)of the field of Sport Management in American and other countries. Primary focus of the reviewing process was on the research themes and topics, methodology of the research The major findings from this review of literature are 1) The standards for curriculum of Sport Management of American and Canada were Management Leadership and Organization in Sport, Research in Sport, Legal Aspects of Sport, Marketing in Sport, Sport Business in the Social Context, Financial Management in Sport, Field Experiences in Sport. 2) The way of researching in the field of Sport Management of American and Canada appeared to be both speculative and statistical methods. 3) With regard to the statistical application utilized in research of Sport Management it was found that most of the current articles are merely based upon descriptive statistics and very few of them used advanced statistics. Based upon the findings and within limitations of this cursory review of literature, the researcher concluded that the research products in the research field of Sport Management are an infant stage. In addition to this, it was concluded that a more rigorous research methods should be applied for better understanding of Sport Management and some practical methodologies presented.
