The influences of wine industrial development in rural areas are significant and highly dependent on the views of stakeholders, who may or may not benefit from such development. Therefore, people’s perceptions often differ depending on individual interests, and such differences could result in conflicts within the community in rural society. These conflicts reflect realistic problems related to wine industrial development. This study aims to investigate the conflicts of stakeholders relative to the problems that occur in the wine industrial development process. This study targets the rapidly growing wine industry in Yeongdong, Korea, which had one of its products win the title of official banquet wine at the World’s Best Sommelier Contest in 2012. The Q methodology, which is an effective method for identifying differences in perception among regional stakeholders, was used for analysis. The main implication of this study is that as wine industrial growth occurs in Yeongdong, a conflict occurs between qualitative management from local residents and quantitative growth from immigrants. And, education service could be the solution, as the process of understanding each actors.
