The goal of this study is to make nordic walking participants’ mental and physical state to the level utilizing the nordic walking properly by developing new rhythmic gymnastics using nordic poles suitable for nordic walking, taking into account of recent trend in nordic walking. The nordic walking rhythmic gymnastics is comprised of 11 movements in 5 minutes, which is easy to learn and do anywhere, including warm-up exercise, main exercise and cool-down exercise. The music of the nordic walking rhythmic gymnastics is 4/4 beat, which is focused on the emotional stability and motivation to become more interested in the gymnastics by using nature-friendly sound effects suitable for Wando’s marine healing program. The characteristics of nordic walking rhythmic gymnastics are as follows. First, while posing ALFA Technique(Attention, Long Arm, Flat Poles, Adapted Steps) by step alternately (#5, #9 movement), the gymnastics reflects physical rhythm and intensity naturally with one flow in which the tempo of music gradually speeds up and slows down, Second, the gymnastics is structured so that the movement and the following movement can be connected naturally, which is the advantage of being able to learn the gymnastics more easily. Third, the nordic walking rhythmic gymnastics is definitely differentiated from other gymnastics because it is composition of gymnastics using nordic poles. It can be said that it is the development of gymnastics that meets the needs of the field because the movements are easy to follow and not difficult to memorize.
