This study investigated the relationship analysis between job recognition, satisfaction, and turnover intention of kitchen employees on hospital foodservice in Chungcheong area. The questionnaires developed for this study were distributed to 400 kitchen employees during August to September, 2015. A total of 365 questionnaires were used for analysis (91.3%), and frequency analysis, ANOVA, χ²-test, correlation, and regression analysis were completed using SPSS (version 21) software. In terms of job characteristics, foodservice job was most recognized as "important" (3.54), and as for the support for the job, "convenient education support" (3.05) was ranked as the highest variable (p<0.001). Overall job satisfaction was 2.97±0.07 (p<0.001). When job satisfaction was further analyzed, the employment environment was satisfactory due to the "fairness of evaluation" (3.08), and the working environment was satisfactory due to "good relationship with co-workers" (3.40). For job turnover intention, it was mostly due to "high stress" (3.40). For personal turnover intention, it was mostly due to "low sense of achievement" (2.94). Job satisfaction and turnover intention influenced the overall job satisfaction. The employment environment and personal turnover intentions in particular influenced the job satisfaction of kitchen employees. Job satisfaction and turnover intention also influenced the overall turnover intention.
