This study is based on the current situation of the compilation of the Chinese-Korean Idiomatic Dictionaries, and discusses the future direction.
In the Chinese-Korean Idiomatic Dictionaries, the selected lexical entry & arrangement, user characteristics, pronunciation information, precise definitions, examples, pragmatic information and additional information are analyzed.
When considering the choice of lexical entry, the characteristics of users should also be taken into account. Look at which users need dictionaries and it is a necessary and basic standard. In the information of the definitions, we have checked the word meaning, derivation, figurative expression, equivalents and so on. In the examples information, the sentence and dialogue examples are confirmed, and translation issues need to be discussed. In the pragmatic information, the attitude of the speaker is confirmed, but there is no complete and systemic compiling standard.
Idiomatic Dictionaries contain the expressions of traditional cultural thinking of language. These dictionaries will become very useful tools for understanding foreign languages and expressions. It is necessary to develop a systematic approach to successful codification.
